The best fish and chips i have enjoyed in Chelmsford. Rock eel was cooked perfectly, good crisp batter and proper chunky style chips. Washed down with a lovely cuppa. Perfect!

Always a firm favourite after a night out being close to the town centre.
Food is always fresh, Batter very chrisp and full of flavour.
Would highly recommend Fancy Fry to all. -

Fancy fry is not actually that fancy but it is great for what it is!! I once went in at 4am on a Sunday morning after a night out on the tiles, I bought a battered sausage and cheesy chips and mmm they were great. Brilliant thing to sober you up - and since it was in the summer I got to watch the sun rise outside! Haha! Lovely staff and great prices, maybe not the place to go for a romantic meal but definitely good for a quick fast food joint after a night out!

This is one of the better fish and chip shops in Chelmsford although opening hours are limited at times. I've popped in here a few times now and my order for fish was always cooked fresh. Staff are nice and the restaurant itself looks clean but not immaculate.
